Intermediation Disclosure Brochure

In compliance with section 32.12.5 of the Single Insurance and Bonding Circular (Circular Única de Seguros y de Fianzas, CUSF) issued by Mexico's National Insurance and Bonding Commission (Comisión Nacional de Seguros y Fianzas, CNSF), Hyper Seguros México Agente de Seguros y de Fianzas S.A. de C.V. (HyperSeguros) discloses the following information about our activity as an Insurance and Bonding Agent.

HyperSeguros is an Insurance Agent (natural person) legally authorized by the CNSF to intermediate insurance, an activity we carry out within the legal framework, with commitment and a sense of responsibility — safeguarding our clients' information at all times and holding Errors & Omissions liability insurance for our activities, which helps guarantee the proper performance of our services as a corporate insurance and bonding agent.

HyperSeguros has an obligation to provide its clients with proper advice for entering into, maintaining, or amending insurance contracts, according to what best suits the policyholder. To that end, we will provide accurate information regarding the products, as well as their coverages, premiums, conditions, exclusions, risks, benefits, obligations, and rights, so that you have the elements needed to properly evaluate the different products offered to you, while always respecting your freedom of choice.

Additionally, HyperSeguros discloses the following information regarding our activity:

  • Under no circumstance should you offer or agree to give HyperSeguros, its executives, and/or employees money or any other consideration (without prejudice to the commission they receive from the Institutions for the services they render, or for services other than intermediation).
  • Under no circumstance accept provisional, informal, or personal receipts from HyperSeguros, its executives, and/or employees.
  • Under no circumstance make advance payments for the contracting of the insurance policy or of an additional coverage.
  • Verify at the time of contracting that the documentation matches your application and, where applicable, that it contains the product's registration with the CNSF.
  • HyperSeguros, its executives, and/or employees, lack the authority to accept risks or to issue or amend policies, as they are neither an Insurance Institution, a Bonding Institution, nor Agents with binding authority (Agentes Mandatarios).

Because one of our responsibilities is to advise on entering into, maintaining, or amending insurance or bonding contracts according to what best suits the policyholder, and in order to strengthen transparency in our intermediation activities by providing information to prevent possible conflicts of interest, HyperSeguros informs you of the following:

  • We hold the proper authorizations issued by the CNSF to intermediate insurance and/or bonds through our Agents (Apoderados), who will identify themselves to you with their full name and the type, number, and validity of their license.
  • In the proposals we deliver to you, we will disclose the Insurance and Bonding Institutions we are considering for that quotation.
  • The proposal we present to you will include an assessment of your insurance and/or bonding needs, based on an analysis of your profile and risk tolerance, including the features of the products being offered, so that you have the elements needed to evaluate the different insurance and/or bonding options — including a link to the relevant Institutions' General Conditions, where you can review terms, exclusions, and the actual scope of the coverages required. The proposal delivered to you will disclose the Insurance and/or Bonding Institutions we considered in preparing that quotation, as well as the most relevant conditions, exclusions, risks, benefits, obligations, and rights, so that you have what you need to properly evaluate the different products offered.
  • We hold Errors & Omissions liability insurance to guarantee the fulfillment of the responsibilities we may incur in connection with our activities as Agent.

Once your coverage application has been accepted (or if it already has been), we will deliver the following documentation to you digitally:

  • The corresponding policy declarations page (carátula) for the policy purchased.
  • The general conditions and any other documentation related to the insurance or bond contracted.
  • The receipt(s) issued by the corresponding Insurance or Bonding Institution for premium payment, clearly explaining the elements it must contain to be fully valid.

In the process following the sale of insurance and/or bonding products, HyperSeguros will:

  • Stay attentive to changes in your risk profile, in order to provide, where applicable, advice or recommendations to adjust your coverages to those changes.
  • Provide you with any relevant information regarding the status of the policy you have purchased.
  • Support you in the claims process or with any complaints before the Insurance and/or Bonding Institutions.

Finally, we urge you, as the policyholder, to:

  • Verify that the documentation matches your application and, where applicable, that it contains the product's registration with the CNSF.
  • Check on the CNSF website the license and authorization details, as well as any sanctions the CNSF may impose on us.
